Vehicle access is allowed on the southern end of Medlands Beach for boat launching. Four wheel drive required unless you want to get stuck in the sand on an incoming tide 🙂

The Cattle Ramp at Puriri Bay is an all tide boat ramp with some parking adjacent.

High tide boat ramp suitable for dinghies & small trailer sailors.

The boat ramp at Tryphena is a high tide ramp suitable for most shallow drafted vessels.

This is a steep ramp usable in most tide situations except dead low tide for some vessels. Four wheel drive recommended due to the steep grade.
